August mission trip report
We give thanks for a small team that was able to safely go to Guatemala in late August. Highlights of their trip include:
Hosted a VBS session for the kids.
Made 300 tamales and along with the kids, gave them out in the street while witnessing to the gospel.
Gave each child a new pair of shoes and socks.
Distributed a month’s supply of groceries to several families leaving Pastor Erika and the kids the task of completing delivery to a total of 80 families.
Replenished the medicine supplies of our nurse.
Purchased water filtration systems for 40 families.
Gave out kid sized facemasks which they had made.
Hosted a ladies fellowship event of canvas painting.
Provided Bible study books for the church leaders to use in growing their faith.
Left money behind for Pastor Erika and the kids to make 800 tamales for distribution to street people while witnessing along with 1000 Christian coloring books so street children can learn about God.
Right after the team left, the government closed down all schools again and neighbors called the police on Pastor Erika saying she had too many children in the building. Satan is hard at work in Guatemala. Pray for the safety of Pastor Erika, the teachers, the students and their families.
